Meet the Team
We choose to launch Target Sports World as a franchise because we are looking for true partners who can share in our success story.
As in any successful business, teamwork is crucial and, if you decide to join us, we will all end up working very closely together for many years to come.
No doubt we will also get to know each other very well, but here is a little introduction to our leadership team to help you understand us a bit better:
Alan Gregory
Alan started his working life as an apprentice for BT, specialising in the international side of the telecoms business. Over the next 20 years, he was to gain invaluable experience in working on a wide variety of projects around the world and became a foreman responsible for dealing with undersea cables and international communication satellites.
Despite his successes in this industry, Alan had a growing desire to launch his own business, a dream which was realised when he left BT and started a computer security firm with his wife, Jill. During this time, he also began to pursue what was to become his true passion in life: target sports. Honing his skills in the National Smallbore Rifle Association, and using them to help others in his charity work with the Scout Association, Alan rapidly began to lay the groundwork for the business which would one day become Target Sports World.
Whilst a member of the National Crossbow Federation, Alan has represented his country at a number of international events, and has been awarded gold medals on several occasions. He is now a County Coach holding licenses for numerous disciplines, and holds a level 2 (development) coaching award from Archery GB.
Alan continues to develop his coaching skills with the National Scout squad, a feeder squad to British shooting elite training squads. He is fully qualified as a health and safety officer and is a graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Jill Gregory
A former teacher and archery coach with Archery GB, Jill left her teaching role behind to help develop the business with Alan. Jill has spent a lot of time in the charity sector volunteering with the Scout association, where she became a trailblazer for roles which, at that time, were very much limited to the males of this world. She was eventually given the role of lead volunteer for a number of scout groups, and she proved to be a formidable champion for the growth of the movement.
Jill brings the same enthusiasm to her role at Target Sports World, providing steady and practical leadership over the finances, while offering her unwavering counsel and support to Alan, helping him to set clear goals and working together to achieve their objectives. She is also qualified to run archery, crossbow, airgun shooting and smallbore shooting sessions.
